Summary[]
Born and raised in a certain Japanese metropolitan city as the first of two children, he had a little sister named Sendo Aki. She was three years younger than him, because his parents job schedule overlapped with each other's he was usually left in the care of the family living next door. Haruto and Miharu along with Aki soon became childhood friends. They would address each other as Haru-kun and Mii-chan and with time they began to love each other.
When Haruto was 7 years old, his father discovered that his mother had cheated on him and that Aki wasn't really his daughter. His parents got divorced shortly after this incident, Haruto and his father moved in with their grandfather to a rural area of Japan. Before leaving his natal city Haruto promised a crying Miharu that when he grew up he'd come back and marry her and, that he would protect her even after death.
When he moved into his grandfather's house he began to do anything he could possibly think of for the sake of being allowed to go back to his natal city, he learned an ancient martial arts style that was 70% Chinese kenpo and 30% jiujitsu and had other techniques taken from other forms of martial arts. He also learned how to use a katana and learned about agriculture by helping his grandfather tend to the family fields. There he learned to cook in preparation for living on his own in preparation to one day returning to his natal city.
A couple years later Haruto entered the same High School as Miharu, Satsuki and Takahisa. One day when going back home Haruto saw Miharu talking with Takahisa in the distance, misunderstanding what kind of relationship they had because they looked close he didn't dare talk to Miharu at that moment. Later that day the hero summoning occurred and Miharu disappeared because of that.
The next day Haruto finally gathered his courage and tried to look for Miharu to speak to her, but the days passed and Miharu didn't come to school. When Miharu's disappearance was made official Haruto began to regret not talking to her the day of the entrance ceremony.
Time passed and not knowing anything about Miharu only allowed Haruto's regret to continue to grow and, as time went on he began to smile less and less. He received confessions from a lot of girls during his three years at High School but, he always rejected them because of his deep feelings for Miharu. Some of the people Haruto used to hang out with at that time were his classmates during his second year of high school, Fujiwara Mafuyu and her best friend Chizuru. Mafuyu was one of the girls that used to like Haruto and her best friend Chizuru used to invite Haruto out a lot in order to create chances for Mafuyu to deepen her relationship with him, but Haruto's unwillingness and Mafuyu's shy and reserved personality seem to have rendered those efforts useless. Haruto's relationship with these two also ended up causing his first encounter with Minamoto Rikka, Liselotte's previous life and Mafuyu's cousin. Rikka attended her cousin's high school cultural festival in order to meet her but got picked up in the way by other boys also there, when Rikka was troubled about how to get rid of her unwanted company Haruto who was passing by helped her out her pinch.
After his graduation from High School Haruto's sadness and regret made him lose his goal in life and since then, has been completely trapped in his mundane life. A year before his death he helped the lost girl Endo Suzune find her way home, some days after his twentieth birthday he visited his mother Yuki for the first time since the divorce and learned from her that Miharu was still missing. When he asked her how Aki was doing she answered "fine" because of that he never knew that Aki too had went missing. He was never told anything about neither Takahisa nor Masato, two or three months later he died in a traffic accident along with Rikka and Suzune. Full of regret and thinking about Miharu until the very end, at the moment of his death a great magic circle would appear under his corpse and then he would reincarnate as Rio.
